The Board of the Gabitel Chair on Hydrogen at the University of Huelva, meeting in ordinary session last Tuesday, unanimously agreed to award Marcos Camacho Pascual the First Prize for the Final Degree Project (TFG) of the third edition of the Awards for Final Degree and Master’s Theses for the 2023/24 academic year. The award recognizes his project titled “Technical Analysis for the Implementation of a Pilot Plan to Adapt the Network of Service Stations in the National Territory for Hydrogen Refueling Stations.”
After evaluating the scientific quality of the final degree and master’s theses, as well as their alignment with the priority research lines of the Gabitel Chair on Hydrogen established in the call’s guidelines, the Board members agreed that the project of Marcos Camacho, student of the Degree in Energy Engineering at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Huelva (ETSI-UHU) and already working professionally in the labour market, met the requirements of excellence to be awarded the award thanks to an innovative project to assess the technical feasibility of adapting the existing infrastructure from service stations to hydrogen-only refuelling stations.
Likewise, the Governing Council of the Chair agreed to declare void the Second Prize for Final Degree Projects as well as the First and Second Prizes for the Final Master’s Projects .
The Gabitel Chair on Hydrogen, which, together with the University of Huelva (UHU), we created in 2021 with the aim of centralising and strengthening the links and collaboration projects between both institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by promoting the creation of a scientific-industrial cluster as a nerve centre to increase the use of green hydrogen. instituted the Awards for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Final Projects within the activities contemplated in Academic Activity and Training, one of the three priority axes of the Chair together with Research and Knowledge Transfer.
The call for these awards, aimed at promoting training and promoting research activity, consists of four awards for Final Degree Projects (TFG) and Final Master’s Degree Projects (TFM) carried out at the University of Huelva and which are framed in the main lines related to the Gabitel Chair on Hydrogen.
