Gabitel explores the latest trends in the fiber optic industry at the Fiberdays fair

Gabitel conoce las últimas tendencias de la industria de la fibra óptica en la feria Fiberdays

The Fiberdays fair, held on April 2nd and 3rd in Frankfurt, Germany, has become a global epicenter for the analysis of digitalization, infrastructure deployment, and fiber optic expansion. Our colleague Riccardo Weber was able to explore the latest trends and new technological solutions in the sector.

During the fair, which brought together experts, decision-makers, and companies from the telecommunications and digitalization sector to present innovations, strategies, and technologies aimed at the sustainable development of broadband, various topics of interest were discussed. These included open access and cooperation models, sustainability, infrastructure development in rural areas, and the impact of applying Artificial Intelligence.

Additionally, the conference program featured discussions with policymakers and fiber optic industry leaders on topics such as expansion, sector outlooks for smart cities and regions, data centers, civil engineering, 5G networks, and collaborations with innovative startups.

The fair featured an exhibition area of over 16,000 square meters with 200 international exhibitors, a networking zone, and a media area dedicated to companies from the television and streaming sectors. Meanwhile, the Gigabit Campus served as a key meeting point for public sector representatives interested in learning about the latest advancements in broadband infrastructure and mobile networks.

In recent years, Gabitel has specialized in the deployment of FTTH networks thanks to a team of 150 qualified technicians who have designed coverage for more than 10.5 million homes both in Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy, Poland, Spain…) and in America (Argentina).
