Today, June 27, we celebrate International SME Day, recognizing the vital role that small and medium-sized enterprises play in Spain’s socio-economic and sustainable development. They represent more than 99% of the business fabric, generate over 66% of total employment (seven out of every ten jobs), and contribute 65% of the national GDP.
A driving force of economic dynamism, a source of employment, innovation, and local development, SMEs invite us to reflect on the importance of all those small and medium businesses that strive every day with a sense of responsibility towards the progress and well-being of our environment, which makes them great.
